What to Expect from Your Assessment

Assessments are conducted by our trusted occupational therapists. We’ll start by asking about your goals and assessing your functional mobility. We’ll also look at your home environment to identify potential hazards or barriers. It’s vital we develop a thorough understanding of any issues that consistently arise within the home, as well as learn about your daily routine. This includes cooking, showering, toileting, hobbies and other everyday obligations.

From there, we can make recommendations on how to improve your mobility and independence. This may involve suggesting changes to the layout of your home, recommending suitable mobility aids or suggesting home modifications. We’ll also provide information and resources to help you make the most of your independence.
